about marion
Hallo,
I am Marion. I came to Bristol in1997.
Following my training in Westerstede and then 3 years of Intensive care nursing in Gottingen I needed a break. So I decided to spend a year in Dublin as an Au Pair studying English.
My school years left me believing that “I was no good at English and just shouldn’t even bother.” (so my English teacher said) but in Dublin I realised that was actually not true. With the right teacher we can all learn different languages.
Back in Germany I took a course, “English for nurses” and the teacher inspired me to give living in England, specifically Bristol a try.
After many years of working in the Intensive care unit in Bristol I now work as a specialist nurse in resuscitation. This includes teaching, assessing and assisting all health care professionals with all matters of resuscitation. Both in the acute trust and the community.
I joined EFN in 2017 because I truly believe with the right teaching and encouragement we can all achieve more than we ever imagined.
