We are deeply saddened to report that Professor Dr Edith Kellnhauser passed away on the 25th May 2019, aged 85. Our condolences go to Professor Kellnhauser’s family.
As a result of Prof. Kellnhauser’s outstanding work, the German nursing profession continued to progress and has reached a much higher level than might otherwise have been possible.
For many of us nurses, Prof. Kellnhauser was a pioneer and an inspiration. She showed us how beautiful the nursing profession could be. Through her immense knowledge and relentless commitment she and her team achieved extraordinary changes in German nursing. Prof. Kellnhauser always had a vision for nursing and devoted her life and career towards its implementation.
