Call a Midwife
‘Call a Midwife’, founded by Sabine Kroh, is the first digital platform for pre and postnatal care. This dynamic new organisation offers expert advice to pregnant mothers and new families via video-chat on computer, smartphone or tablet.
Based in Berlin, the service is offered both in Germany & worldwide. All their midwives/consultants are native speakers of their respective languages, which includes German, English, Russian and Turkish. The German midwifery system is recognised worldwide for it’s excellence and ‘Call a Midwife’ gives women the opportunity to seek assistance on questions that might not be adequately covered by their home country’s health service.
- Guidance is offered on issues regarding:
- Pregnancy
- Prenatal preparation
- Childbirth
- The Postnatal period
- Breastfeeding & Complimentary Feeding
- Partnership & Family
English for Nurses is delighted to have formed a close relationship with ‘Call a Midwife’, assisting their consultants with the development of English Midwifery terminology. There is currently a revision group of 11 midwives in Berlin, who are attending our module-based course and we look forward to continuing this close relationship in the future.
