Today marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, 6th June, 1944, the largest naval, air and land operation in history, which led to the liberation of France and Europe. It’s a day to commemorate the soldiers, medics, and nurses who gave so much, but also to remember that their sacrifice has given us all the opportunity for freedom, peace, and hope.
